This photo was taken Oct. 7, 1962.at the Hill's cabin in the Poconos near Peck's Pond. L-R: Donald Grim, Bart Hill held by his father John M Hill, Marie M (Schrack) Hill (pregnant with Beth A. Hill, born 3 wks later), Jeffrey L Grim held by his grandfather John L Hill, Mary (Hill) Grim holding baby Lori L Grim (now married to Thomas F. The cabin was previously located in the woodland of 'Hill' property (where Gruber's school is, what is now Grandview Rd. Hamburg, PA) and was moved to land on Old Hobday Road (approx. 1 mile south of Peck's Pond) in 1960. This land was State Land, leased by the Hill family from 1960 - 1974. Al and Anna Billig, along with others, went every weekend through the year to the cabin. Al Billig says that he and John L. Hill and his son John M. Hill were in Al's row boat on Pecks Pond. John L. heard a splash and realized that he lost his wallet. John M. and Al jumped in, feeling all over the bottom with their feet. Al found it in chest deep water, kept his foot on it, and John M. quickly dove down to rescue it.
