Monument in St. Michael's (old) Cemetery, reads: Johann Ludwig Seaman. Founder of the Seaman Family in Pennsylvania. He landed at Philadelphia Oct 25, 1748. Located with the pioneer settlers in Berks County. Purchased land here in 1752. Was one of the founders and first elder of St. Michael's Church and resided in this vicinity the remainder of his life. He had five sons and two daughters. - Erected by the Seaman Family Association 1913.
