In the late 1800’s, Sariah Faust (wife of Daniel Shade) really wanted this pump organ, which was built in St. Paul Minnesota. They had to sell a horse for part of the payment. The organ was shipped to a music store in Reading, then loaded on a horse drawn wagon to deliver to her house. She gave it to her niece Arabella (Bella Faust, wife of Lewis Reinsel). In 1963, a 19 year old Schrack-Faust descendant purchased it at the Reinsel sale. She paid $27.00, which was half of one week’s pay. Her cousin rebuilt it for her.
